Mother Ocean
58
Ancient of days,
Deep to endless fathoms,
Mysterious to the infinite,
Vast expanse of liquid space,
Woman of Timeless Beauty.
Enraged, you batter relentlessly all that you encounter,
Tranquil, your peace transcends time and worry.
You teem with unseen life
While jealously guarding the Secrets of the Dead.
Your salty tears honor the lost.
Friend of many shores,
You are my Peace.
Away from you, I still dream of your midnight tides,
As they rush in with a deafening roar,
Then quickly retreat in a sizzling clatter,
Leaving gifts of shell jewels behind,
Glistening in your silvered wake.
Earth’s moon, your silent observer, holds eternal vigil
As it transforms your shimmering face into an
Indigo Sea of Diamonds.
Mother Ocean, your child longs for you.
I will return to your
Perfect
Timeless
Peace.

Another really good poem EHQ. I like tis a lot. Michael.
I adore the Ocean. Your description of waves crashing, was beautiful.
What a lovely piece. Great job earning you a beautiful.
The waves/tide is so calming. Love to look for those shell jewels!
I've always thought of the Ocean has a " She" and also write many poems of Love to her.Two Thumbs up Ms. HippieQueen!
An elegant and epic personification. Very languid, like mother ocean herself.
The ocean so deep that offers up her sparking jewels of eternal wrath and calms. Her deepest abyss to her shallow pristine shores of timeless sands eternal will calm our souls and let our tides within us ebb and flow with hers. This was a beautiful scribe, I felt the flow, I felt her strengths, I tasted her saltiness and basked in her might and am humbled in her presence. Brilliant and swesome
As a Pisces I love the depth of emotion water brings. Beautiful and way up up up
Love it, yes, but I also live in it
Yes I do. The ocean of desire.
It is a wonderful place to swim.
Such a beautiful poem...it flows and vibrates so well
Beautiful poem. I love the sea and the way it makes me feel so calm. Thank you
Hi again, this poem is lovely and rich with imagery...I am following you now and I see you are well reccomended, so I hope you won't mind totally inane questions about writing a hub. For one, how do you get those highlighted blue links to other hubs? And what is the etiquette on making a link to another hub? I'm assuming you ask permission first? Thanks.
Great, thanks!, I think it's starting to sink in, been trying for days to figure that one out, really appreciate your quick response to my question.

A beautiful tribute to the mother of us all and all living things. We need to see what we have done to the Mother Ocean and help to heal her or suffer her loss. Wonderful sentiment, Thanks, Peter
